DSC_8226

It’s that time of year again, the mornings have briskness, leaves are beginning to turn from green to brilliant orange, red and gold. Time for us to enjoy the magic of this year’s Fall Rhapsody with our annual hike.

Aileen Comerton has kindly offered to lead the group again this year.

Join us on October 20 for our annual Fall Hike!

Meeting Point: P8 (right at the trailhead) at the Asticou Centre, 241 Boulevard de la Cité des Jeunes, Gatineau, QC J8Y 6L2 (north of St Raymond).

Please arrive around 9.15am for a 9.30am departure.

This route gives us several options on paved paths

Full Hike: . The route is trail 5 to 25, onto 15 then 35 to Pink Lake. The hike is around 7 km each way with some undulating terrain to make it interesting! Most of the uphill will be on the way in. The paths are paved but hiking shoes or boots are recommended. The hike is classed as a moderate hike.

Shorter OptionsIf you would rather walk around 5.5 km in total there is an option to turn back at the start of # 25. For those wishing to hike around 8-9km you can turn back at the turn onto # 15.

Remember do dress appropriately pull out your comfy sweater, windbreaker, hiking boots or shoes and don’t forget your water-bottle and a snack! We will stop to snap some pictures.

Looking forward to seeing you all again and catching up after a lovely summer.
